Recitals, Performance Opportunities, and Competitions

Two formal recitals are given each year; a holiday/themed recital in November/December and a traditional recital in April/May. Sign-ups for recitals will be open at the beginning of each semester. Students are required to play in both recitals unless otherwise determined by the instructor. Playing in both recitals is highly encouraged and should always be seen as a positive experience and an accomplishment earned through hard work and dedication. Details for the recitals will be given to parents as soon as known in order for families to plan. Students and families are asked to dress “Sunday Holiday Best” as a way to enforce the point of a special experience.

All recitals for students in the Atlanta area are held at the Steinway Piano Galleries in Alpharetta. The address is: 5950 North Point Parkway, Alpharetta, GA 30022.

All recitals for students in the Charleston area are held at the Stewart Music Studio main location. The address is: 1470 Ben Sawyer Boulevard, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.

Other informal performances, competitions, and opportunities are available at various times throughout the year. Potential qualifying students and families will be notified when details are known.
