Maria Stewart
Studio Owner and Teacher
Maria is the head teacher at Stewart Music Studio. She is currently teaching classes in person and online for piano, guitar, ukulele, voice, and acting. Maria’s background consists of performances in musicals, such as Les Miserables, The King and I, and The Wizard of Oz, lecture piano recitals, a soprano soloist in Rutter’s Requiem, and so much more! In addition to her work at Stewart Music Studio, Maria writes, arranges, and produces music for artists, commercials, film, and television through her production company, Your Mom Entertainment. Maria is also hired as a vocal coach for professional artists and as an acting consultant for actor training and development on film sets.
She loves exploring the Charleston area, having a beach day, working with her students and clients, and spending time with her husband and cats.
Hailey is the Personal Assistant to Maria and the Studio Assistant of Stewart Music Studio. Hailey graduated with honors from the College of Charleston’s Arts Management program in May 2022 with a concentration in the Music Industry, and has extensive coursework in Music Theory and Composition. She is now pursuing a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree and Arts & Cultural Management Graduate Certificate from CofC to further her education in nonprofit management and arts administration. Her academic research focuses on leadership in arts organizations, arts education/community development, and DEI initiatives. In addition to this, Hailey also holds an Executive Fellowship with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra.
When she has free time, Hailey loves to kayak, hang out with her friends, read, cook big meals, and visiting her family.
